Otuoma Sanya is a Nairobi-based Senior Systems Librarian with a decade of hands-on experience deploying and customizing open-source scholarly platforms such as DSpace, Open Journal Systems and Koha. He combines deep library automation expertise with practical software development skills in Python Django, PHP and Angular, across Linux environments, to build secure, scalable digital infrastructure for research institutions. Since 2019 he has led Karatina University's library systems, and previously steered Koha upgrades (16.05 to 23.11) and data migrations at Mount Kenya University, including ezproxy to MyLOFT migration and SSO integration, plus ERP patron syncing and automated fines. He also developed off-campus access through ezproxy at MUST and has conducted staff and student training to maximize resource discovery and usage.
