Pablo Orduña is a seasoned technology leader and founder with a PhD in Computer Science and 15+ years of delivering global-scale systems. As co-founder, CEO, and principal engineer of LabsLand, he architected and built a real-time remote-lab platform powering access to FPGAs, microcontrollers, and full physics/chemistry labs across 30+ countries for 100k+ users, with backend in Python, frontends in React/Angular, and AWS infrastructure. His work spans distributed systems, embedded development, Linux security, cloud services, and AI integrations, with NSF/EU-funded programs and partnerships with Intel, AMD, DigiKey. An active open-source contributor, he helped extend ZXing with RSS-Expanded decoding used by billions of Android apps (Instagram, LinkedIn, Uber, ChatGPT) and led the gateway4labs LMS integrations and a multilingual translation platform enabling 55-language support across 200+ educational apps. He is currently a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI, bringing hands-on engineering leadership to scalable AI and systems, while continuing to collaborate with academic and industry partners worldwide.
