Alfan Presekal is an assistant professor of Computer Engineering at Universitas Indonesia, focusing on cybersecurity, cyber-physical systems, and artificial intelligence for resilient power grids. He earned a PhD in Cyber-Resilient Power Grids from Delft University of Technology (2025), an MSc in Secure Software Systems from Imperial College London (2016), and a BEng in Computer Engineering from Universitas Indonesia (2014). His research spans secure power-grid cyber-physical systems and AI, with prior postdoctoral work at TU Delft on HVDC-WISE and Cooperative Cyber Protection for Modern Power Grids as part of European Horizon projects. He serves as a board member of the Indonesia Cyber Awareness and Resilience Center (idCARE.UI) and was recognized for a first-authored paper in IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid as one of the journal's top five outstanding papers in 2025. Based in Delft, Netherlands, he leverages international collaboration across UI, TU Delft, and industry to translate cutting-edge research into secure, scalable power-grid solutions.
