Eric Wang is a seasoned hardware-software engineering leader focused on sensors, imaging, and embedded platforms. He currently serves as Head of Engineering, Device Software at Pila Energy, where he shapes end-to-end firmware and platform software for intelligent devices in the energy sector, and previously helped build device-software teams at SPAN and Atlas Dynamics. Over a decade across Amazon, Highfive, Uber, and Lab126, he repeatedly shipped production-grade embedded systems for cameras, perception, WebRTC streaming, and consumer devices such as Echo and Fire TV, blending rapid prototyping with rigorous research. His work spans imaging systems including 3D depth sensing, ISP algorithms, and perception pipelines, with hands-on experience from sensor integration to platform software. Based in Palo Alto, he combines leadership with a hands-on engineering approach to scale teams from early-stage to larger orgs, and he continues to collaborate with founders and engineers through Atlas Dynamics. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UCLA.
