Katsuomi Kobayashi is a software engineer and technical director specializing in VR, and the CEO and founder of FrameSynthesis Inc. He transformed a hobby sparked by getting an Oculus Rift in 2013 into a focused career in location-based VR entertainment and Meta Quest app development, now leading FrameSynthesis as CEO and Technical Director. Previously, he served as CTO at Hashilus and as Senior Software Engineer at XVI Inc, and he currently collaborates with The University of Tokyo's Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology as a Project Academic Specialist. An active voice in the Japanese XR and game dev communities, he has spoken at XR Kaigi (2020–2024) and CEDEC (2021–2023), and co-organizes the Godot Meetup Tokyo.
