John Kutay is a technology leader and product-minded engineering director with over 13 years building data-intensive, cloud-native platforms in the San Francisco Bay Area. As Director of Engineering at Rippling and advisor at Striim, he leads cross-functional teams spanning frontend, backend, and data engineering to ship scalable serverless data processing for data integration and AI workloads. At Striim, he drove product-led growth and enterprise adoption, delivering self-service data pipelines for Snowflake and enabling 1-click launches via Snowflake Partner Connect, contributing to the fastest trial-to-revenue journey in the company’s history. He blends hands-on software engineering with product management, having steered UX, end-to-end integrations, and data visualization across multi-tenant cloud platforms.
